Welcome. You have reached the website of Arthur S. Hayes, journalist turned media law and journalism scholar. Here you will find materials related mostly to my textbook, Mass Media Law: The Printing Press to the Internet, published by Peter Lang in 2013.
Mass Media Law is a textbook written mostly for communications and media studies majors; it emphasizes the interaction between law and the development and use of mass media technologies. I teach media law, mass communications and journalism courses at Fordham University in New York.
